How to set a Budget with Native Ad

Choose your bid and budget

To run your ads on SOCIFI, you'll need to decide on the right budget and bidding options. Your budget establishes a charging limit for an individual ad.

Your maximum cost-per-mile (max. CPM bid) is the most you're willing to pay for the 1,000 impressions on your ad. By managing your bids, you may influence the amount of traffic your ads receive, as well as the Return on investment (ROI) they generate.  With higher bids, your campaign is likely to receive more traffic, although you'll likely spend more money. With lower bids, your campaign is likely to receive fewer impressions, clicks and conversions.

Setting a Lifetime or Daily Budget Cap

1. Setting a Lifetime Budget Cap on Ad

If you have defined a Lifetime Ad Budget Caps you will need to stop an ad from serving once a budget is reached. For example, if an ad is priced at $20.00 CPM, Cap Type is Impression and your Lifetime Budget Cap is $5,000 USD, the ad will stop serving when SOCIFI records 250,000 impressions. Under Cap Type (in Impressions or Clicks) set a Lifetime Cap to define your Lifetime Budget Cap.

Example:

$5,000 (Lifetime Budget Cap) / 20 (CPM) * 1,000 = 250,000 (Amount of impressions)

Set the Lifetime Cap to 250,000 Impressions to Cap your Lifetime Budget to $5,000 USD

See the Cap Type settings in Dashboard bellow:

2. Setting a Daily Budget Cap on Ad

If you have defined a Daily Ad Budget Caps you will need to stop an ad from serving once a budget is reached. For example, if an ad is priced at $20.00 CPM, Cap Type is Impression and your Daily Budget Cap is $100 USD, the ad will stop serving when SOCIFI records 250,000 impressions. Under Cap Type (in Impressions or Clicks) set a Lifetime Cap to define your Lifetime Budget Cap.

Example:
$100 (Daily Budget Cap) / 20 (CPM) * 1,000 = 5,000 (Amount of impressions)
Set the Daily Cap to 5,000 Impressions to Cap your Daily Budget to $100 USD

Because traffic fluctuates from day to day, SOCIFI may allow up to 10% more impressions (or other ad activity for the ad on another bidding option) in one day than your average daily budget specifies. We call this
over delivery.

What could affect the delivery of my ads?

Possible reasons why your ad is not delivering any single impression or amount of delivered impressions is low

  • CPM (cost-per-mile) price is too low: Increase the CPM Price in the Ad detailWith higher bids, your campaign is likely to receive more traffic.
  • Targeted locations: Remove unnecessary ad targeting option. Target your ad on specific OS, device or Location have an influence on a number of delivered ads.
  • Targeted Gender and Age: Ad is delivered only to users which provided their personal data on networks with enabled social login. Leave the Gender and Age in default setting to increase reach if it's possible
  • Depleted credit or limited budget: The budget for your ad has already been spend. Solution: Add Credit for Advertising
  • Paused or deactivated ad: Make sure your ad is active (and not deactivated) in order for your ad to run. Solution: Add Credit for Advertising or Activate an ad.
  • Ad under review or disapproved:  Disapproved ads also won’t run, so check your Dashboard or email for disapproval messages, which may have information on how to resolve issues with your ad. If you don’t see an email, be sure to also check your spam folder.
