In this article, you can find step-by-step manual to get your equipment certified by SOCIFI.

Three capabilities SOCIFI requires

  1. External Captive Portal support
  2. RADIUS client
  3. DNS-Based Walled Garden (at least IP-Based Walled Garden but expect some limitation)

Once your equipment has the above-mentioned capabilities there is 100% certainty of being compatible with SOCIFI 4G/WiFi monetization platform.

Timing

We need approximately 10 - 14 days to test your equipment, write the driver, and to certify the solution.  

Once certified we are able to promote compatibility through our channels and allow your customers to monetize their WiFi systems. 

Specification of External Captive Portal

We do not require any specific settings. Standard external captive portal functionality is fully sufficient.

Specification of the RADIUS client

We do not require any specific settings. The RADIUS servers are located in our network across all regions hosted by AWS and we only need to be able to use at least 2 servers per device.

Specification of DNS-Based Walled Garden

We use a lot of resources (eg. images, services, API, ...) that point to hostnames with a dynamic range of IP addresses. For example, Facebook, Google+, Google DFP, Twitter and so on.

Those hostnames can be resolved to many IPs. IPs for that hostname can rotate (be different) for each request. Basically, all the data are stored in the Cloud and are delivered through CDN, therefore we cannot rely on IP-Based Walled Garden. The solution must be able to hold at least 20 domains.
