Session time (Splash Frequency)

Session time is used to cap the time for how long the user can enjoy Free WiFi (if enabled) prior Captive Portal triggers again.

How to adjust Session time?
Go to SOCIFI Dashboard > Settings > Brand > Authentication & sessions and adjust "Session time for free WiFi (Splash frequency)"

Idle time

You can adjust idle time to adjust the delay the user has to wait till he can to use Free WiFi again.

  • E.g. 0 minutes means the user can use Free WiFi over and over and he only needs to pass Captive Portal authentication based on the set session time. 
  • E.g. 24 hours means the user can use Free WiFi for a time period set Session time (see above) and once the time is reached the user can decide to wait 24 hours to be able to enjoy another Free WiFi session or pay for Premium WiFi (Pay-Thru plan) to connect


How to adjust Idle time?
Go to SOCIFI Dashboard > Settings > Brand > Pay-Thru (Pay-As-You-Go-Internet) Settings and adjust "Idle time between free WiFi sessions"

Turning Free WiFi off

You can completely disable free WiFi and no free WiFi access will be allowed. Use this wisely and only on locations where the user can expect such behavior.

How to turn Free WiFi off completely?
Go to SOCIFI Dashboard > Settings > Brand > Authentication & sessions and set time to the value "Disabled (Login thru Pay-Thru must be allowed)"
