Why is my bounce rate so high?

Bounce rate depends on many factors such as:

  • WiFi signal strength and internet speed
    40% of people abandon a website that takes more than 3 seconds to load.
     
  • Authentication methods
    It is common to have SMS or Social Network authentication enabled. But not all visitors are willing to fill in personal data to connect to the WiFi.  Therefore, you can experience some bounce rate during the process of connection.
     

  • Brand page seems to be untrustworthy and insecure
    One of other reasons of high bounce rate might be inappropriate creative of your brand page. The brand page is the first page displayed to the end-user, accordingly it is very important to look well and trustworthy.

Also, please note that the bounce rate can lower after some time. Some folks are not willing to fill in any information as stated above, but after some period of time, they basically give away their conviction not to share their data. We’ve seen this many times in shopping malls etc. However, take this very responsibly and do not count only that people will just change their mind. We also recommend conducting a WiFi site survey to see if all works fast enough.
